There are an infinite number of answers you could give. And if you asked around, you’d probably get at least a dozen of them.
“Jesus was about teaching quality morals.”
“Jesus was about helping the sick, the poor, and the disenfranchised.”
“Jesus was about teaching people about God.”
“Jesus was about starting a revolution.”
“Jesus was about Jewish things.”
“Jesus was about dying for sin.”
“I don’t believe in Jesus.”
What was Jesus about?
Humanity has a problem. How do I know? Just watch the news for five minutes, check out the bestseller book list, or simply visit and elementary school. We’ve all got a problem.
I think Jesus was about one thing: offering a reconciled relationship.
Jesus came to bring peace to your relationship with the Father, to bring healing, to bring reconciliation. Jesus came to bring a renewed life. This is the Gospel. The Gospel is not a box to check in your checklist of life, it’s a life to live in your everyday walk.
